Student Employment at UVA
Through their engagement, students make important contributions to the vibrancy of UVA’s community and the excellence of its academic enterprise. Although academics is the foundation of the student experience at UVA, many students also benefit from and make additional contributions as employees. Student employees are important to the operation of the University and the fulfillment of its academic and patient care missions. Working for UVA is also a great way for students to build transferable skills and gain valuable experience while completing their degree. Whether supporting teaching, research, or extracurricular pursuits, student employees positively impact all corners of the University.

Student employment is suppported through key offices such as the Career Center, UVA Human Resources, Student Financial Services, and the Provost’s Office, offering essential student employee resources and guidance on UVA employment policies.
