Shannon is our Provost Expense Ambassador who assists with training employees in our area on how to use the University’s Workday Finance system and answering questions regarding expense policies and procedures.

In addition, she reviews and approves an abundance of expense reports and requisitions in great depth to certify that they have been allocated appropriately, comply with policies, and include supporting documentation.
Shannon joined the Provost’s Budget and Finance Team in March 2023 as a Financial Coordinator, bringing more than 10 years of experience combined in finance, customer support, problem-solving, insurance, and administrative support. She began her work with the university in 2020, working within the Student Affairs Division as an administrative coordinator for student engagement. Before joining UVA, she spent eight years working in auto insurance at State Farm, holding various roles within the company.
Shannon is a first-generation college student who graduated from Liberty University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA). Away from the office, her high level of attention to detail carries with her from work to home. She is a true home decor enthusiast and really enjoys transforming spaces into personal sanctuaries. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her young family.
